Today we went to Winona, Minnesota. These large cement pillars are what the large river cruise boats will tie up to when they visit.

This hotrod was parked by the Farmer’s Market.

Antenna topper. With bugs in his teeth.

Little did we know when we arrived, today was Pride Day at Levee Park in Winona. There were some interesting characters taking part in the festivities.

This train car parked at Bay State Milling Company made for some interesting abstract black & white images.

The coupling used to attach the rail cars.

The switching system for directing cars down different rails.

The Whetstone Machine building is completely covered in this ivy. We aren’t quite sure what the measurements (50’ x 120’) on this inlaid marker indicate. There are multiple of these markers down the side of the building.

Saint Stanislaus Basilica makes for some good opportunities to practice with light and shadow in B&W.

The Watkins Company has a fun little museum that tells the story of the company history here in Minnesota. It is still operational since 1868, after starting in Plainview, MN. The store has a variety of products and we have purchased some popcorn flavoring here.
